Manufacturing Defects

Covers genuine defects in materials, construction or manufacture.

Domestic Use

This commercial warranty is for normal domestic use unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

Evidence May Be Needed

Photos, video, proof of purchase or other reasonable evidence may be requested.

What the warranty covers

This commercial warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects that arise during normal domestic use, including where appropriate:

✓ Structural failure of frames, joints, welds or fixings caused by a manufacturing defect.

✓ Defective components or mechanisms where the failure is attributable to manufacture.

✓ Stitching or seam failure caused by a manufacturing fault rather than pulling, snagging or misuse.

✓ Other defects in materials or construction that we reasonably determine were caused by manufacture.

A problem is not automatically a manufacturing defect simply because it appears during the 24-month period.

What the warranty does not cover

This commercial warranty does not cover:

× Normal wear and tear or ageing consistent with the product, material and amount of use.

× Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, abuse, excessive loading or use for an unsuitable purpose.

× Damage caused by incorrect assembly, moving, storage, modification or unauthorised repair.

× Damage caused by water, damp, excessive heat, direct sunlight, pets, unsuitable cleaning products or failure to follow care guidance.

× Commercial or business use unless the product and applicable warranty have been specifically approved by us in writing.

× Consumable or maintenance items such as floor protectors once worn through normal use.

Natural materials & expected changes

Many Where Saints Go products are handmade and use natural materials such as leather, wood, rattan and stone. Natural variation is part of the character of these materials.

Leather: grain variation, scars, creasing, colour variation, patina and gradual softening caused by normal use are not automatically manufacturing defects.

Wood & rattan: natural grain, knots, shade variation, minor movement and handmade dimensional variation may occur and are not automatically defects.

Upholstery & foam: normal settling, softening, compression, stretching, creasing or fabric pilling that is consistent with the product’s age and normal use is not automatically a manufacturing defect.

If a change appears excessive or abnormal for the product’s age and use, contact us and we will assess it.

Reasonable care & maintenance

The warranty assumes reasonable care and normal use. Customers should:

✓ Follow assembly and care instructions supplied with the product.

✓ Use the product for its intended purpose and within reasonable domestic loading.

✓ Check fixings periodically and tighten them where appropriate.

✓ Check floor protectors and replace them when worn.

✓ Keep indoor furniture away from persistent damp, excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight where these may damage the material.

Damage resulting from a failure to take reasonable care may fall outside this commercial warranty.

Making a warranty claim

Send us enough information to understand the issue and we’ll assess the most appropriate next step.

1. Contact us

Email Customer Services with your order number and a clear description of the issue.

2. Show the issue

Send clear photographs or video of the fault, the whole product and any relevant labels or fixings.

3. Assessment

We may ask questions, request further evidence or arrange a physical inspection where reasonably necessary.

4. Resolution

If the claim is accepted, we’ll confirm the appropriate warranty remedy and what happens next.

Claims after six months

If a problem is reported more than six months after delivery, we may ask you to provide reasonable evidence to help establish whether the issue is a genuine manufacturing defect rather than normal wear, accidental damage, misuse or another excluded cause.

This may include additional photographs, video, information about how the product has been used or, where genuinely necessary, an inspection or independent opinion.

We will not treat age alone as proof that a claim is invalid. Each claim will be assessed on its facts.

Your statutory rights are separate from this commercial warranty and remain unaffected.

How valid claims are resolved

A valid warranty claim does not automatically mean a brand-new replacement product or a full refund.

Under this commercial warranty, the appropriate remedy may include:

✓ Repairing the product.

✓ Replacing the defective component or part.

✓ Replacing the product where repair or part replacement is not appropriate.

✓ Providing a reasonably equivalent alternative where the original product is no longer available.

Any remedy available under your statutory consumer rights remains separate and is not reduced by this warranty.

Other warranty conditions

Proof of purchase. We may ask for your Where Saints Go order number, receipt or other reasonable proof that the product was purchased from us.

Original purchaser. This commercial warranty is provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. This does not affect statutory rights.

Repairs and replacements. A repair, replacement part or replacement product supplied solely under this commercial warranty does not automatically start a new 24-month commercial warranty period. Unless we confirm otherwise in writing, the original warranty expiry date continues. Statutory rights are unaffected.

Inspection costs. If a physical inspection is reasonably required, we will explain any potential collection or inspection cost before it is arranged. Where a warranty claim is accepted, we will bear the necessary costs of the warranty remedy.

Commercial & trade use

This 2-Year Furniture Warranty is written for products purchased for normal domestic use.

If a product is purchased for commercial, hospitality, office, restaurant, bar, rental or other business use, it is only covered by this commercial warranty where we have specifically confirmed the applicable commercial warranty in writing.

Products described as suitable for commercial use, including any relevant CRIB 5 or other certification, may have separate warranty terms depending on the product and application.

Trade and business customers should contact us before purchase if warranty scope is important to the project.

Your statutory rights

This 2-Year Furniture Warranty is a commercial warranty provided by Where Saints Go Ltd. It is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not replace, restrict or reduce them.

Consumer goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, statutory remedies can include repair, replacement, price reduction or rejection/refund.

If you are unsure whether your issue is a standard return, a warranty claim or a statutory-rights matter, contact us and we will help you identify the correct route.
