Just because you live in a small space, that doesn’t mean you should have to scrimp on style. 1: A bar stool as a bedside table

Providing it has an entirely flat seat (because you don’t want your glass of water to fall on you during the night,) a bar stool can make a great bedside table. 2: Bring the bar to the bathroom

A rustic bar stool makes a great perch/hanging rail for your towels. Whether you keep them rolled up for that five-star hotel feel or prefer to fling them any which way, your trusty bar stool will come into its own. Just make sure that it is suitable for spaces of high moisture, or that you take some steps to seal the wood to protect it from water damage with an appropriate, sympathetic product.

3: Store beneath your worktop 

We couldn’t write a blog about incorporating bar stools into a small space without including the obvious solution. If you have a countertop anywhere in your compact abode, chances are it would make a great ledge to keep your bar stools beneath. But - before you take your luxury stool of choice straight to check-out, you might want to reach for the measuring tape first. Ensure that your chosen bar stools are the right height and width to fit beneath your counter to avoid any devastating realisations on delivery day. 

4: Balcony furniture

Whether you want an outdoor dining set for your petite balcony or simply need a perch to sit on while you watch the world go by, bar stools are a convenient option, providing they are suited to the great outdoors. Materials such as hide probably wouldn’t fare well when exposed to the elements, so it’s worth doing your own research based on how sheltered your balcony is.

5: Collapsible space-saving stools 

If all-else fails and you’re not able to find a suitable spot for your bar stool, you could always seek out the most stylish collapsible bar stool that you can find.
