Even though the sun always shines on us Saints, all this good weather lately has got us thinking about one thing and one thing only - summer interior trends for 2023. Taking inspiration from Dulux’s Colour of the Year and our previous Interiors Forecast, we’ve rounded up our top four summer trends, along with a selection of our products for each.

Sunset Shades

Is there anything quite like a summer sunset? (Cocktail in hand, Cafe Mambo setting optional.)

A common theme throughout the predictions from paint manufacturers and interior designers alike are the warm ochre and salmon tones we can expect to keep seeing crop up in all summer long. Instantly injecting comfort and relaxation to your interior, you can tap into this trend with either accessories or paint, depending on how committed you’re feeling. For example, painting a small accent feature is an easy way to integrate this alongside your existing, classic furniture such as the Wishbone-Inspired Olson Dining Chair. Alternatively, you could infuse your home with warm toned-furniture such as the Rust Lorenzo Accent Chair or Milo Rattan Side Table

Exotic Rattan

Been waiting for an excuse to transform your tired conservatory into an eclectic, exotic suntrap? It’s your time to shine. While the rattan revival has certainly slowed down, it remains a key accent for the relaxed, bohemian and exotic aesthetic. Perfect in subtle, small proportions such as our Round Side Table Set and Tuku Bar Trolley, this natural, artisanal material is a certified summer staple. When decking out your space in this style, don’t forget those deep green, leafy houseplants!

Heritage Feel

We’re obsessed with home interiors that bring a little bit of quirk to classic decor. Each of our real customers have demonstrated that this is effortlessly done by adding a statement, architectural chair to a traditional space - feel free to admire at your leisure below. Our top three contenders are the Adagio, Olson and the Kenny. If you’ve already got your statement chair and original features locked down - you can further this aesthetic by adding an antique rug, contemporary velvet candelabra and this quirky parrot pair.

Playful Patterns & Colour

We’ve all heard about dopamine dressing, and the same rules certainly apply to your interior. What better season than summer to go all-out with bright colour-clashing and vivid patterns? Colourful accessories are the low-risk way to go about doing this, and if you’re starting with a neutral backdrop we suggest adding items such as vibrant candles, jewel-toned velvet and uplifting, novelty accessories. For those who are keen to boldly go, it doesn’t get much merrier than our Susie Q or Monika’s Vines wallpaper
